Cranbrook Women's Centre

Overall services
Support for women dealing with a variety of situations including violence in relationships, insecure housing, trauma, food security, clothing, and general emotional support. Provide a safe, confidential, non-judgmental space where women can come and are a point of access to other resources in the community.

Do not offer harm reduction supplies, but work closely with a program called ANKORS which does. Offer free hygiene products and have a free clothing store.

Community Connections Society of Southeast BC operates the shelter in Cranbrook. Cranbrook Women's Centre works closely with the staff there to ensure the clients are supported and have a place to go if they need it.
Transitional Programs
Cranbrook Women's Centre partners with a walk-in counseling clinic that offers support to clients, and offers women's groups when our budget allows us to. Work closely with the Transition House as well as Second Stage Housing (Haven Gardens). Also work with the Homeless Outreach/Prevention Program, East Kootenay Poverty Law Advocate, and Family Law Advocate.

Kingsway Community Station is a drop in for female identifying sex workers that operates six days a week (Monday-Saturday) 10PM-6AM. We offer community for folx who have a relationship with drugs or alcohol. Our services are not only for people practicing recovery. We have meetings every 2 weeks and other events throughout the year. We help with harm reduction supplies, advocacy for families involved with MCFD, employment services, assistance with ID, housing and other social services as well as sex worker emergency kits and support.
